This is site is from Baleares. It's in various languages, including Catalan, Spanish and English. Apart from history and remarks of general interest, it contains an excellent walkthrough of how to make an honda - Com es fa una fona. Probably getting as the near the original as possible.

The site also contains links within Spain, such as links to the Balearic Slinging Federation, its rule sets and activity calendar.

Since slinging.org is around, the job of anybody linking sling sides has become much easier. It's sort of a "Sling Wiki" and a great and entertaining site at that, too. As far as I can see, it contains all the links and more, than I would have found.

This dictionary contain a wonderful article about the Greek and Roman use of the honda under the header "Funda". You can access the scanned pages online. It's in French, and when I have a bit of time (yes, I do belong to these people who have to earn their money!) I will translate it to English and hang it up here.
